Furnace and Duct Cleaning
Process - Kleen Aire Standard Cleaning
- Walkthrough with customer to confirm and address any concerns and to establish cost of cleaning. Determine best practice for hook up and access to furnace and ductwork.
- Furnace is shut down and blower assembly is removed, (if neccesary) and access holes are cut on hot and cold air plenums.
- 10" vacuum hose from truck is hooked up to hot or cold plenum and the then truck is engaged to create extreme suction of 13,500 CFM.
- When system under suction all vents except farthest on supply line are covered isolating the suction, then compressed air is blown down each vent line to agitate any thing in line. As this is done all debris is drawn through main and hose out to the truck. This process is duplicated for every vent on each plenum.
- After the trunk lines have all been cleaned using compressed air, a reverse skipper is used to clean the plenum and bring all debris back to the suction hose.
- This process is repeated on opposite side of system.
- Now that the system is clean the furnace, furnace chimney and all combustion components are cleaned. The heat exchanger is inspected for cracks the fan assembly is cleaned and oiled.
- Fan assembly is replaced and all access holes are secured and plugged. The system will now be tested. Any other requested services will be performed at this time.
Process - Kleen Aire Advantage Cleaning (Upgrade)
Our technician will use the same procedure as above, except that all
vent lines, are scrubbed entirely with our patented rotary brush system.
With your heating system still under suction, our technician will brush
the inside of the ductwork. This includes the sides, tops, and bottoms
of your furnace ducts from the register all the way to the main lines,
removing the caked on dirt and dust.
This procedure is then duplicated on the both the hot and cold
mainlines.
Dryer Vent Cleaning
Dryer Vent Cleaning should be performed every six months to three years depending on many factors such as usage, dryer efficiency, length of duct, number of turns in duct, length of any vertical duct.
Before
After
Dryer vents become clogged with lint because lint particles bypass the lint filter entering the duct with warm moist air which clings to the walls of the duct. The longer the duct, vertical duct, and turns increase this buildup. This buildup restricts airflow through the duct which increases back pressure on the dryer fan causing the dryer to overheat.
Most homeowners do not think about dryer vent cleaning until their dryer stops working or overheats and causes a fire. In some cases new dryers have been purchased with the homeowner thinking the old one was wore out. Then they were surprised only to find that the new dryer didn't work any better because the dryer vent was clogged with lint.
Dryer Vent Cleaning is an inexpensive way to help keep your family safe and your dryer working properly.
Chimney Cleaning
- We start by taking the necessary precautions, by putting down a tarp in front of the fireplace or wood stove and using a high powered-vacuum to prevent any mess.
- We sweep the chimney with a rotary brush system and/or manual brushes using agitating motion to remove the creosote from the chimney liner. As the creosote is dropping from the chimney, our truck mounted vacuum safely sucks all debris out of the house.
- We clean the smoke chamber and shelf with air tools and truck mounted vacuum.
- We clean the firebox with hand brush, air tools and truck mounted vacuum.
